MOKA PAINTINGS GABRIELE PICCO 2011 these new serie of paintings are made with a performance using italian coffee machines (called Moka) Instead of coffee and water the artist puts pigments in the machine and displays on the canvases some camping gas stoves to create through the fire an expolosion of colours. the result is a kind of action painting, but here the feeling of the artist is replaced by the daily action of making coffee. these paintings are made trough the "waiting", ironically reminding to the Fontana's most famous canvases.
