GABRIELE PICCO
Born in Brescia in 1974, he graduated in Modern Literature at Università Statale di Milano. Visual artist and writer, he had exhibitions in public and private spaces in Italy and abroad. In 2002 he published his first novel "Aureole in cerca di santi " (Halos looking for Saints) and he has been selected for "Ricercare", a new writings laboratory during which he read "Compleanno senza un piede", an unpublished story.
He published the story "Incontro al mondo" on Fernandel, an Italian magazine about young writers.
He has been living in New York for two years. There he attended New York Film Academy, but instead of shooting a movie, he started writing his second novel, "Cosa ti cade dagli occhi" published by Mondadori and winner of the young section of the Viadana prize 2011. The book has been translated in Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan.
